The motherboard is the foundation of the computer, everything connects to it. The Lian Li case has a removable motherboard tray, using only thumbscrews it slides out of the back of the case so you can work on mounting the motherboard on a flat table out in the open. Plus the case comes with good quality metal standoffs to mount the motherboard. These screw into the motherboard tray and then you screw the motherboard onto the standoffs. Be careful not to overtighten as aluminum is a soft metal and a screw hole is easily stripped if you cross thread or overtighten a screw. Other cases have similar features but the craftsmanship and attention to the details set the Lian Li case apart in my opinion.
After mounting the motherboard on the tray, a cutout for the back panel jacks that is custom made for the motherboard pops into a rectangular opening on the back of the case.
