Flying Tips

Safety
The tip of some paper airplanes can be sharp. Do not throw your airplane at others and remember, they can turn unexpectedly so make sure everyone is watching when you launch your plane.

Adjusting for a V-Shape -Not A Flat Shape and Using Elevator Controls
Check out the flying tips at FunPaperAirplanes.com for a discussion of how to make your paper airplane fly better by adjusting for a V-shape instead of a flat shape (study the pictures after you read the discussion). Also, how to keep it from diving straight down and crashing or climbing straight up and stalling or looping through the use of rudder controls you can make with just a few small cuts.

Some Additional Adjustments
Here are some tips that are a little more advanced for "tuning" your paper airplane's flight characteristics, visit How to Fine-Tune Your Origami Airplane. Don't try using a paper clip however to increase the weight in the nose since only paper and glue are allowed in your construction. Can you think of other ways to add more weight to the nose without violating the rules?.
